Jerky-ness

I have a 92 SC2(Manual) with 258,000 Km on it. Just the other day I started
to notice that around the 2000 RPM mark, the car feels like it's jerking. I
see no change in the RPM and at the higher speeds with higher RPM's its not
noticeable. One thing I noticed this morning as I drove out of the driveway,
that when the car is colder the jerkyness isn't as noticeable, seems to run
    somewhat normal.

When the car is warm, and I'm at a light. If I move able 5-10 feet then but
the foot back on the clutch the RPM's just drop and it almost seems like
it's about to stall.(and it did once yesterday).

So I'm starting to wonder if it's one of the sensors that has crapped out
and needs replacing, since it's only acting up when the engine is warm. But
    which one? Temp Sensor?

    Thanks guys!.

    Hi, Dave,
No, sorry, I can't. Have you asked your dealer's service folks?
    Good luck!

They have been replaced and the plugs as well. The Engine module/spark
plug module has also been replaced. She runs normal until the temp
guage starts to move as the engine warms up then it starts to have
    that jerkyness.

  6. Has the vacuum EGR valve ever been changed? Are you getting any SES codes
(and are sure the light does work)?

If the behavior is mainly after warmup, I'd bet on the EGR system. If it
starts out as soon as you start the car, it may be the coolant temp sensor.

You can rule out the EGR by disconnecting and plugging the vacuum line that
runs to the top of the valve. Drive the car and see if the symptoms
disappear. Disconnecting the valve should set a SES code.

I disconnected the vacuum line to the EGR valve I just placed some tissue
    around the vacuum line just
to make sure nothing was sucked in. And the car ran just fine. So it's sure
seems like it's the EGR Valve
is the problem. Called Saturn for the part(I'm in Canada by the way) and
thye wanted $170 and the other
    parts place wanted $120.

    Thanks for the help/

  8. You can do better on the price. http://www.saturnparts.com/ sells OEM
parts. Their price is $75 USD. I've never bought from them but they get
good comments often from others. If you order the part, be sure to get a
    new gasket as well.

  9. Saturn sold me mine for $75 last year. + shipping. But they wanted $140 to
replace it if they did the labor. This thing's pretty easy to replace.
    *Almost* like replacing a lightbulb.

Remember folks. I'm in Canada, that $170 was for JUST the part, not
    including the install.
The cheapest I have found was $120 or so, they only had one in the warehouse
    and even
then they weren't sure they did have one. I'll be heading to the US next
    weekend, so I'll check out
one of the auto part places down there.
