We've just discovered that some dirtbag broke the rear window in our '95
    SL overnight...

How easy is it to replace? Are specialist tools needed?

The car was parked up while we decided whether to get rid of it or not, so
this job can't be done under insurance (if the cops catch who did it
I guess they'll make them pay for it though) - and I bet the glass
companies charge $$$! Hence thinking about getting glass from a junkyard
    and doing myself if possible...

Do they somehow fit the glass into the rubber frame (at first glance
this morning it looks to be bonded in though, not something that can
easily be taken from a donor car), or do they replace the glass + rubber
    frame as one complete unit?

(the car's not our main vehicle and the engine + gearbox have only got a
couple of thousand miles left in them anyway - just a shame to junk the
whole car over a piece of glass!)

    thanks

    Jules
